How can industry benefit from PathogenCombat?

Small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) represent 99% of the total number of companies  in the European Union (EU) and as such should be given greater attention in EU research programmes.

An ambitious goal in our objective-driven research project  is  an intensive support and integration of enterprises, especially SMEs. One of our activities to achieve this goal is the establishment of network.

SME NETWORK:

This network will enable dissemination of results to SMEs to benefit from new information and technology generated in an Integrated Project. Information generated from the project will facilitate a wide range of SMEs in Europe to produce food with no, or acceptably low, levels of pathogens. This will give SME food producers and processors an economic advantage, thereby increasing their competitiveness. The network will enable the participation of SME companies and organisations to actively exchange information.

The SME network will also link with regulatory agencies in Member States and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). The exchange of experience and information will be supported through the homepage of PathogenCombat.
